I don't bill insurance directly. I can provide a monthly superbill for out-of-network reimbursement — many PPO plans cover a portion of therapy costs. I'd recommend checking with your insurance provider before we meet if this is a factor for you.
My fee is $250 per session. I keep a small number of reduced-fee slots for qualified candidates; feel free to ask about availability.

We talk. I'll ask you what brought you in, what you're hoping to understand or change, and a bit about your history. I'm also paying attention to how we relate to each other — what it feels like to be in conversation with you — because that's information too.
The first few sessions are mutual. You're getting a sense of me, and I'm getting a sense of you. There's no pressure to commit to anything before we both feel it's a good fit.

Honestly? Longer than most. Psychoanalytic therapy is not a brief intervention. Some people work with me for a year or two. Others stay considerably longer.
That said, many people notice meaningful shifts well before the work is "complete." If you're someone who has tried shorter-term approaches and found the changes didn't hold, this may be worth considering.
